  • LGBTQ/Queer tuba recitals given in Scotland, Canada, and throughout the United States.

  • Queer presentations at multiple national conferences and universities.

  • Co-founder of the state-wide Pennsylvania System of Higher Education LGBTQ Consortium that represents the interests of over 100,000 faculty, staff, and students.

  • Formed Erie Gay Pride that is now the non-profit Greater Erie Alliance for Equality. It provides training and resources to the Northwest Pennsylvania region.

  • As a tenured associate professor at PennWest-Edinboro:

    • Founded and served as co-chair of the President’s LGBTQ Commission

    • Advised Identity – the student gay/straight alliance

    • Co-founded and directed the Safe Zone Program

    • Trainer, Safe Zone Program Levels I & II

    • Co-directed the PennWest-Edinboro LGBTQ Lecture Series

    • Co-founded and co-directed the PennWest-Edinboro LGBTQ Heritage Month

    • Developed and taught the first LGBTQ-focused course in PennWest-Edinboro’s curriculum, “Music, Gender, and Identity.”
